A bit about me........... I run, do a bit of yoga, lift weights a few times a week and I cycle occasionally.  I used to play rugby until I wrecked my knee and had to have it pretty much rebuilt.  After that I literally had to learn to walk again before I could run.  I thought Parkrun would be the furthest distance I would ever manage after my knee surgery, but I met a girl who helped me see that I could do a lot more.  I watched her run the Snowdonia Marathon in 2016 and she inspired me to train to do it myself the following year - which I did.  I did it again in 2018 and 2019.

My main motivation for running is to spend time with my girlfriend (she's a proper good Runner) and to keep myself in some sort of decent shape as I’m in my middle 40’s and I like eating a lot!  I’ve been vegan since January 2020, so i might write about my experiences with that at some point.
